Quick answer
Open a text-based PDF and the tool rebuilds rows and columns from the position of each piece of text, then downloads an .xlsx file with one sheet per page. It works best on simple tables and does not read scanned images. Check the output before relying on it.
How to use the PDF to Excel
- Choose a PDF you can select text in.
- Preview the detected table for each page.
- Download the .xlsx and check the numbers against the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Why are some columns merged or split?
PDFs store text positions, not tables. Irregular layouts can confuse column detection; adjust the column gap setting and try again.
Does it work with scanned bank statements?
No. Scans are images and need OCR first.
