The converter rebuilds paragraphs, headings (from font size), centred titles, indents and page breaks from the PDF's text layer. Are my files uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and the Word file is created on your device. Nothing is sent to our server.
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
In "Editable text" mode you get the text, headings, paragraphs and page breaks, but not images, colours or exact column layouts. If you need the exact appearance, choose "Exact look"; each page becomes an image in Word, so the text is not editable.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
Not into editable text. Scans are pictures of text and need OCR. The tool detects scans and suggests "Exact look", which puts the pages into Word as images.
What about tables?
Table rows come through as tab-separated lines. For financial tables and bank statements, the PDF to Excel tool gives a cleaner result.
Does it work with Hindi or Bengali PDFs?
If the PDF has a proper text layer (you can select and copy the text), the text is carried over. Some older PDFs use custom font encodings, which may produce garbled characters; use "Exact look" for those.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
No. Remove the password first, for example by opening it with the password and saving a copy.
