Formula
Whole months are counted forward from the date of birth (a 31st falls back to the last day of shorter months), then the remaining days are added.
Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated for someone born on 29 February?
In non-leap years, the birthday is treated as 28 February for this calculator. Some official rules use 1 March; check the specific rule for your form.
